IBANDA – Shock and grief has engulfed friends and relatives of Engineer Godfrey Mugisha who on Sunday 8th November was reported to have died of COVID-19.
Mugisha who has been the NRM flag bearer for the Ibanda district Youth Chairperson seat was admitted on October 28, at Mulago Intensive Care Unit and has been battling for his life until Sunday (November 8, 2020) when he breathed his last.
Mugisha has been a trained flight attendant and his close friends refer to him as a person who has been a very humble, focused, respectful youth leader and believed in everyone’s potential.
Before breathing his last, Mugisha cautioned colleagues to protect themselves, saying covid-19 is real.
“Am concerned that you called and asked about my health. Let’s protect everyone and take the necessary precautions as prescribed by expert medical personnel. Now am admitted at ICU Mulago,” Mugisha’s last words as he texted a colleague before his death.
