BREAKING: Police arrest Ssegirinya, detained with Bobi Wine

Latest news reaching the Daily Express confirm that Police in Jinja have arrested and detained Kawempe LC5 Lord Councillor Muhammad Ssegirinya.

Ssegirinya, also a National Unity Platform flag bearer for Kawempe North was picked up outside the Nalufenya Police detention centre whereRobert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was still detained since Wednesday.

The MP aspirant who is publicly known as “Mr. Update” was grabbed by the officers while he tried to address the press outside the facility.

Segirinya was part of a small team of NUP leaders and reporters who were still camped at Nalufenya, awaiting the fate of Bobi Wine.

Bobi Wine was arrested yesterday from Luuka district and detained at the facility, for allegedly flouting the Covid-19 guidelines on the ongoing scientific campaigns.

By press time, the NUP’s candidate lawyers and other party members were being denied chance to see him.
