UPDF Commander in Chief and President of the Republic of Uganda Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reappointed Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for the position of Commander of the elite Special Forces Command (SFC).
Lieutenant General David Rubakuba Muhoozi is a Ugandan Military Officer and Lawyer popularly known as Mzee’s ‘Ironfist in a velvet glove’.
Muhoozi currently serves as the Chief of Defense Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF), the highest rank in the Ugandan military.
The Commander on Chief of Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has also appointed Brig Paul Loketch as the new Deputy Inspector General of Police (IGP).
He replaces Maj Gen Muzeyi Sabiiti who has been sent to the General Headquarters for redeployment.
Gen Birungi has been appointed the New Airforce boss, a position which had been held by the new Deputy IGP Loketch.
