Bobi Wine continues to campaigns in Kanungu, Rukungiri, and Mitooma today

WESTERN UGANDA The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine will today (Thursday, December 17) continue to traverse the western region in the districts of Kanungu, Rukungiri, and Mitooma districts as part of his presidential elections campaign.

Bobi Wine on Wednesday covered the districts of Kabale, Kisoro, Rukiga and Rubanda districts in events which were characterised with peace and non-disruption from the police and military forces.

Bobi Wine took to Facebook to celebrate the massive crowds turn-out of supporters in Kigezi sub-region saying.

“The RDC of Kisoro, Peter Mugisha was on radio and said that any one who was planning to attend our campaign should first dig their grave because he would shoot them dead. Looks like so many graves were dug today but none will be used.”

Addressing voters in Kisoro District, which is Kayihura’s home area on Wednesday, 16 December 2020, Bobi Wine said in 2017, he warned Gen Kayihura that Museveni was using him and would dump him.

“I used to tell my brother and friend Gen Kale Kayihura that Museveni is not a good man but he didn’t listen to me. As you all know, whenever Gen Kayihura wanted to preach the message against marijuana smoking in the ghetto, he could send me,” Bobi Wine said.

Before Gen Kayihura was sacked as IGP in April 2018, he blocked Bobi Wine’s music concert. Bobi Wine yesterday attacked Museveni for demoting and arresting Kayihura.

He asked people of Kisoro to demand Kayihura’s freedom.

Robert Kyagulanyi is giving his first shot at the presidency and this time around, there are 11 candidates vying for the top seat.
