FDC’s Amuriat discharged, Returns To Campaigns With Painful Eyes

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat (POA) has resumed his presidential campaigns after being discharged from hospital where he’s been admitted since Monday.

Amuriat was admitted at Fastline Medical Center in Bugiri District after a scuffle with police which got him pepper sprayed him in the eyes and rushed to the facility in critical condition.

Just hours after being discharged, POA returned to his campaign trail vowing to complete his race for presidency in the remaining districts.

According to Party officials who spoke to our reporter, Amuriat is still in pain but has insisted to deliver his message of change to his supporters regardless.

“After yesterday’s incident where he was sprayed with a poisonous chemical, the Villager [Amuriat] is still in pain but up in [good spirits] and has to deliver a message of change to his people.” the FDC official spoke to us.

Amuriat will campaign in Teso sub-region districts of Kumi and Soroti.
