The national Unity Platform party flag bearer for presidency Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine was reportedly arrested in Kalangala Islands on Wednesday as he reached out to the Island residents to spread his message of freed.
According to the Party Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, Bobi Wine had gone to Kalangala for his campaign meeting on Wednesday was arrested by security officers.
“Our Presidential candidate Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert has been arrested in Kalangala district by security officers.
Many members of our campaign team too have been arrested and driven to an unknown destination,” he said in a Facebook post.
After his release, Bobi took to Twitter and revealed what exactly happened to him during the incident.
