Bobi Wine’s ‘End of Year Address’ postponed to Saturday 2nd Jan

KAMPALA – The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential flag bearer Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has postponed his End of Year / New year address to Saturday January 2.

Bobi Wine in a statement said his is postponing his end of year address to continue engaging about the freedom of his campaign team.

Quoting unnamed sources, Bobi Wine claims that members of his campaign team in Masaka were badly tortured to a point that some cannot walk.

“We are still in the dark about several comrades such as Nubian and Eddie Mutwe. We have spent the entire afternoon engaging our legal teams here and abroad to see that we put an end to this impunity”.

Those arrested include his closest aides Nubian Li, Eddie Mutwe and Sir Dan Magic among others.

The recent death killing of his bodyguard threw a spotlight on the violence in the run-up to the poll.

Bobi Wine said his aide was purposefully run over by a military police vehicle. The military has since denied the matter.
