Gen Elly Tumwine Dismisses Death Claims

KAMPALA: Security Minister Gen Elly Tumwine has dismissed ongoing rumours circulating on social media reports that he has passed on.

Social media was set ablaze on Sunday morning with reports claiming the motormouthed Luweero war survivor had died while others indicated that he was critically ill and under assisted breathing in Intensive Care.

But Tumwine was quick to trash the reports saying he is all well and not hospitalized.

“Dear fellow Ugandans, I hope you are doing well. Please disregard the Fake News circulating on Social Media announcing my death,” Furious Tumwine posted on his Twitter Account.

“I am neither hospitalized nor ill. Have a blessed Sunday,” he added.
