KAMPALA, UGANDA: Former High Court judge, Vincent Kibuuka-Musoke has died.
Vicent Musoke breathed his last on Thursday afternoon at Nsambya Hospital where he had been admitted battling kidney related complications.
“We regret to announce the death of Justice Musoke who passed on Thursday afternoon at Nsambya,” Jude Mbabaali, the Masaka District Land Board Chairman told the Daily Express.
At the time of his death, Musoke was the Chairman Masaka District Land Board. Mbabaali described the deceased as a fearless and independent judge.
“He was a very fearless judge. He would not listen to orders from above he was very independent and mindful of his judgements,” Mbabaali added.
According to Mr Matovu, Justice Musoke was admitted to Nsambya Hospital 10 days ago after he developed kidney complications.
Kibuuka Musoke retired from the Judiciary in 2014 as the Masaka Resident Judge, two years before his actual retirement due to ill health.
