Makerere dismisses claims that Bobi Wine has Covid-19, those are ‘forged’ results

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Makerere University’s Infectious Disease Institute has come out to dismiss a document which has been making rounds on social media claiming that Robert Kayagulanyi aka Bobi Wine the NUP Presidential candidate tested positive for Covid19.

The document which was circulated on social media for a few days purported to have been issued by the institute.

Makerere University however, yesterday came out to clarify and deny claims of authenticity of the document.

“That is not the likeness of a certificate from our Core Lab and we do not have the result number indicated in our system. That said, we value the confidentiality of our clients and would not share their information to the public. Be vigilant and #StaySafe #COVIDisReal” reads part of the clarification message.
