UNEB Releases 2021 Examination Timetables for PLE, UCE, UACE Students

The Uganda National Examinations Board-UNEB has released the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) timetables for the 2020/21 national examinations.

Briefing of candidates in P.7 will be on March 26 and they will later sit for their examinations on March 30 and March 31 2021.

Briefing for UCE candidates on February 26, and the Uganda Certificate of Education examinations will start on March 1, to April 6.

Dan Nokrach Odongo the UNEB secretary added that briefing for UACE candidates will follow on April 9 and they will sit for examinations from April 12 to May 3 2021.

The exams were slated to be sat for in November/December 2020 however became impossible since the government announced the closure of schools on March 20th aimed at saving over 15 million Ugandans at different education levels from contracting the novel COVID-19.

In October, the government reopened schools for the candidates and finalists so that they can continue to complete their studies.

The Use of Mobile phones during exams, sharing of materials such as calculators and mathematical sets is strictly prohibited among other directives.

All candidates are also directed to put on a mask and observe other Standard Operating procedures as recommended by the Ministry of Health, W.H.O and the Education Ministry.

Uganda will this year hold UNEB Examinations in February – April contrary to the previous years (October – December) due to the COVID-19 Pandemic effect.
