Police in Mbale are hunting for yet to be identified thugs who broke into the offices of National Identification Registration Authority (NIRA), in the district in the wee hours of Monday morning and whisked away with four computers and one Canon camera.
According to the police spokesperson in Elgon region ASP. Rogers Titika, the incident happened on Monday morning at around 3am and was reported by Nkaja Nathan, the Mbale NIRA Registrar.
Police has since started investigations under reference CRB 40/2021 of office break-in and theft.
