JINJA, UGANDA:– Comedian Muyonjo Hussein alias Swengere together with colleague Mutoigo Richard all journalists at Baba FM have been arrested by police on counts of inciting violence and purporting to cause unrest in Jinja city.
The Uganda Police Force confirmed the arrest of the journalists saying they incited violence while giving updates from the Jinja City tally center live on air.
Swengere with Mutoigo were arrested from the Jinja City tally center and reportedly taken to Nalufenya.
By press time, investigations were underway and police says the two will face the law.
