AFCON U-20: Uganda drawn in Group A with hosts Mauritania

AFCON U-20 FINALS: The Uganda U-20 National Team ‘the Hippos’ has learnt their opponents at the forthcoming Total U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals. This follows the draw that was held on Monday in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The Hippos have been pooled with hosts Mauritania, former champions Cameroon and Mozambique.

This is the first time that Uganda will feature at this tournament having emerged winners of the CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers in Tanzania last year.

The tournament will be played from between February 14th and March 6th.

Uganda Hippos are currently in camp with a provisional squad of 38 players summoned last week.

Group A: Mauritania, Cameroon, Uganda, Mozambique

Group B: Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Namibia, Central African Republic

Group C: Ghana, Tanzania, Gambia, Morocco
