“We Need Your Prayers” Nubian Li goes emotional in letter to NUP supporters

KAMPALA, UGANDA: National Unity Platform’s Ali Bukeni aka Nubian Li popularly known as an aide to former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has penned down an emotional letter from Kitalya Prison where he is being held with other party supporters.

In this letter, Nubian Li rallies NUP supporters to remain strong and pray for them as they also do the same so that they can soon regain freedom.

On Wednesday, Bobi Wine visited Kitalya prison to check on his people who were locked on the cases of illegal possession of firearms.

The General Court Martial in Makindye on Makindye on Monday released on bail, 13 supporters to former NUP Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi denying Nubian Li Eddy Mutwe and 34 other bail.

A group of 49 supporters and private guards to Kyagulanyi were arrested in December last year in Kalangala and arraigned before the army court in Makindye on charges related to unlawful possession of ammunition.

The prosecutors said that once Mutwe and Li are released, they might foster demonstrations in the country especially in the city centre hence leading the country to bloodshed.

BELOW HERE IS NUBIAN LI’s FULL LETTER
