KAMPALA, UGANDA: The National Unity Platform (NUP) President, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has today celebrated his 39th birthday.
The celebration which took place at his home in Magere-Gayaza was graced by clerics, politicians, musicians, family and relatives.
Kyagulanyi in his birthday message posted on his social media pages commiserated with the family and friends who ever since he joined the struggle to liberate the country have ended in prison and some being murdered while others are missing.
“My deepest appreciation goes to all of you friends and family who joined us in mass today as we prayed for our comrades who are in prison for no reason, all those who are kidnapped and still missing and those who have been victims of state inspired violence, abductions and murder.” Reads part of Bobi Wine’s message on Facebook.
Fr Anthony Musaala, one of the clerics who attended urged the elected members of parliament, councillors among others never to forget who their founding father is and their role.
“Never give up on your major role, which is to fight for the people that voted for you,” said Fr Musaala.
Babie Itungo Kyagulanyi, his wife, congratulated him upon turning 39 years.
“Every day I get to learn something new from my husband and this is what I find special about him,” she said.
Itungo also lauded the NUP supporters, elected MPs for their tireless efforts towards the success of his husband.
