KAMULI: Pastor arrested for stealing from local shrine

KAMULI, UGANDA: Police in Kamuli has arrested and put behind bars a Pastor attached to Prayer Force Ministries Church Butabala for stealing property worthy UGX3M from a witchdoctor’s shrine.

According to Busoga North Regional Police spokesperson, Michael Kasadha, the Pastor entered the shrine and took the bed sheets, ‘gomesis’, fetishes, scary basket with UGX1.6M and other shrine belongings.

A client of the shrine who is also a church member, told the owner of the shrine, Mr. Alilumboyo, that she had seen some of the things she had bought for jjajas in the church including her 3 meter long cloth.

However, the pastor insisted that he didn’t steal but just raided the devil’s home by using spiritual powers from God.

By presstime, police had launched investigations into the matter.
