STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE: Charles Lwanga, Bright Anukani scored twice with Aliro on the scoresheet for the other as Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) beat new comers MYDA Fc 5-0 to go seventh on the UPL table.
In the matchweek fixture held at the MTN Omondi Stadium on Saturday evening, Defender Moses Aliro put hosts ahead with a superb finish off Charles LWanga’s assits inside just five minutes of the first half.
Aliro and Lwanga combined and nearly put the hosts two goals up, but the latter’s effort was well saved by MYDA FC’s Andrew Ssekandi who started in goal ahead of captain Isaac Osikol.
The visitors’ best opportunity of the opening 30 minutes fell to Ibrahim Nsimbe, but the striker’s effort was well saved by KCCA goalkeeper Charles Lukwago as KCCA took a 1-0 lead into the half time break.
With just seven minutes into second half, Midfielder Bright Anukani doubled KCCA’s lead with his first goal for the club since completing his loan move from to Lugogo in August.
Lwanga deservedly got his name on the score sheet with a sublime finish from Herbert Achai’s pass to out the hosts 3-0.
The full back would then complete his double with another clever finish in the 88th minute before Bright Anukani made it 5-0 with his second goal from the penalty spot in added time.
