KABALE– Police in Kabale district headed by the Homicide Squad are investigating circumstances under which a 36 year old Boda Boda cyclist was discovered dead hanging in his rented room.
The late has been identified as Twinembabazi John Bosco a resident of Bugongi Road cell in Bugongo Ward in Northern Division of Kabale Municipality
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate confirmed that the deceased was on Sunday evening discovered hanging on a bedsheet in his rented room.
Maate says Twinembabazi was on Sunday morning reported at Police as a missing person by one of his friends Sam Safari after he was not seen at his Highland Stage for several days.
However, the Police advised that his landlord and LC 1 Chairman allow the rented room which was locked from inside be broken and when it was done, the lifeless body of Twinembabazi was discovered hanging above his bed with a bucket he used to climb over.
Maate said that the postmortem report was carried out after the suicide case was registered under reference number SD 24/28/02/2021 and the body was handed over to the relatives for burial.
Maate said that I will continue to establish the exact circumstances that led Twinembabazi to commit suicide.
