KAMULI DISTRICT, UGANDA: Speaker Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga’s daughter, Sheila Kadaga Kivunike was finally been laid to rest at their ancestoral home in Mbulamiti Kamuli District on Wednesday evening amidst woes and mourns from family, friends and relatives.
Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga posted on her social media platforms that “My niece, Sheila Alitwala Kadaga, has been laid to rest at our ancestral home in Mbulamuti, Kamuli”.
Sheila breathed her last on Sunday after a long battle with some health complications.
Sheila was a daughter to late Kadaga Kivunike, the elder brother of Speaker Kadaga who died in the early 2000s.
Together with her biological brother Timothy Kadaga, the outgoing Uganda Christian University Guild President, Sheila was taken up by the Speaker who raised them as though they were her biological children.
Sheila was set to join Makerere University later this year having sat her Advanced Level exams in 2019 from Muyenga High School in Kampala.
According to the speaker, their family has lost 3 relatives over the last one week.
“I thank the multitude of people that came to commiserate with us. May Sheila’s soul rest in eternal peace” she added.
