NINCE HENRY | SUICIDE: The Ugandan music industry has since last night put on panic mode after prominent singer, songwriter and producer Henry Ssekyanzi aka Nince Henry threatened to end his life.
“Ngenda Kwetta leero! Kilo Kyaleero!” Read a post on Nince Henry’s Facebook page. Loosely translated to “I am going to commit suicide today, this very night.”
Friends quickly rushed to comment messages of comfort, aimed at dissuading him from ending his life. These encouraged him to pray and be patient, while others advised him to seek help.
Although Nince Henry had not replied to any of the comments or given an update on why he was feeling suicidal.
Many of the commentators however, suspected that the singer was being pressured by government’s refusal to reopen the entertainment industry, which has remained closed since March last year, because of Covid19.
