UNRA’s Tumwebaze Appointed Head Uganda Clays Limited

Tumwebaze has been at UNRA for the past 5 years since joining in 2016 as the director for the protection of National Roads and Bridges infrastructure.

CORPORATE AFFAIRS: Uganda Clays Limited has appointed Reuben Tumwebaze Byaruhanga as its new Managing Director, the Daily Express has learnt.

In a statement released on Wednesday March 17, the Board of Directors confirmed the appointment of Tumwebaze as the new Managing Director with effect from March 2021.

Prior to joining Uganda Clays Limited, Tumwebaze has been working at Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) as the director of Road Infrastructure Protection.

“The Board is confident that Mr. Tumwebaze is the right person to lead the team that is charged with successfully executing the Company’s business strategy.” Uganda Clays’ Eng Martin Kasekende, said in a statement.

He added that “Tumwebaze has a wealth of experience at management level in a number of manufacturing companies including Hima Cement Ltd and Century Bottling Company Ltd.”

Tumwebaze has been at UNRA for the past 5 years since joining in 2016 as the director for the protection of National Roads and Bridges infrastructure.

Uganda Clays Limited is one of the leading manufacturers of baked clay building products in the country, operating in Kajjansi and Kamonkoli in Mblae district.
