EXPOSED! Artiste Bruno K real names Bruno Kiggundu and music producer Bomba Music have been exposed over copying logo marks appearing in both of their logos.
In what started out as a simple tweet, the resemblance and copycat in the logo has since attracted public attention and criticism over true ownership of the logo mark.
A tweet sent out by graphic designer who identifies himself as “Jaja Big” on twitter exposed the two with a caption to the logos as “two Brands have the same logo.. wow”
It should be noted that Musician Bruno K introduced a new clothing line to his fans last week. The fashion line however has exactly the same logo mark as Bomba Music production.
On doing research, this website identified that Bomba music and its logo has been in existence for over 3 years and yet musician Bruno K just recently launched his logo, an implication he copied the latter’s logo.
However, a further google search “Guitar B Logo” exposed that the two have no true ownership of the logo as it already exists as a vector template on 123rf website. Below is the google search result (first one on the top left).
What does this mean?
Could this be an exposure that several brands in Uganda are not hiring professional graphic designers to manage their brand? or it is an exposure of lack of professionalism and laziness in designers? The questions pauses a great insight and prompts an investigative exercise to expose brands using fake and vectorized logos.
