116 Arrested in Police Raid on Masaka Bars

Government shutdown bars to control the spread of Covid-19, last year and has since not issued an official statement to reopen them for normal operation.

MASAKA, UGANDA: A total of 116 people were arrested in a Monday morning police operation around and within Masaka City.

In a joint security operation led by Police, the suspects (116) were picked from different drinking joints in Masaka over allegations of disobeying lawful orders.

All suspects by press-time were being detained at Masaka Police station.
