Owori, an offensive and defensive midfielder left the country at the beginning of the year after a promising season with the Jogoos.

The decision to leave the country meant that Owori was not able to play at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament hosted by Cameroon in January 2021.
He had been approached for a contract extension at SC Villa, a deal that he politely turned down as well as another opportunity to join the current Uganda Premier League table leaders, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
He has since expressed gratitude upon the achievement that he envisages as a stepping stone in his career.
“I want to use this platform to exploit my full potential as i serve the club to the best of my expectations and to elevate my career further” Owori disclosed.
Owori has featured for a number of clubs in Uganda as Nsambya, Proline and Sports Club Villa.
He also played for Bukedi Province in the FUFA inter-provinces tournament (FUFA Drum).
He is popularly referred to as “Colgate” in the football circles.
