West Nile mourns death of Arua City Mogul, Paul Alioni ‘IGWEE’

The Business Community in West Nile and members of the public are in shock over the sudden death of Paul Alioni, popularly known as Igwee, a property mogul in Arua city.

Alioni passed on at Arua Regional Referral Hospital on Tuesday after a short illness.

The Chairperson of Arua business community, Moses Obeta, said Alioni died at a time when he was most needed because of his tremendous contribution to the growth of different business people in the city.

Nola Buleru, a prominent politician in Arua city who subscribes to the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, said the deceased was a champion of forgiveness, unity, and he loved people.

George Ambe, a veteran Politician in Koboko district, described Alioni as an entrepreneur who had a very vibrant entertainment hall in Koboko in the Mid ’90s called Afro Mambo Bado for people to socialise.

It is not yet clear when Alioni will be laid to rest but there are clear indications that the funeral service will be conducted at his home in Indri’ba in the suburbs of Arua City.
