President Museveni to receive Covid-19 vaccine jab on Saturday

President Yoweri Museveni will take his Covid-19 vaccination jab tomorrow,” Ainebyoona tweeted on Friday.

Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to receive his Covid-19 vaccine jab tomorrow (Saturday) March 27, 2021, the Health Ministry has announced.

According to a tweet from the Ministry of Health Spokesperson, Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the president has decided to take his Astra Zeneca covid-19 jab after a thorough review of the vaccine.

” Diana Atwine (Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary) says the President Yoweri Museveni will take his Covid-19 vaccination jab tomorrow,” Ainebyoona tweeted on Friday.

Covid-19 vaccination in Uganda kicked-off on March 10 as the Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng became the first person in the country to be vaccinated in an event that was held at Mulago Specialized Women and Neonatal Hospital.

Through the Ministry of Health, Uganda received 864,000 doses of the AstraZeneca #Covid-19 vaccine from COVAX facility and an additional 100,000 doses donated by the government of India.
