INSIDE STORY – The latest news reaching our editorial indicate that NTV News Anchor, Show host and Head of News Josephine Karungi, has resigned from the Serene Based NTV Uganda.
Karungi is one of the pioneer employees of the Serena-based NTV and was promoted to head the news department after Maurice Mugisha’s exit, a position she has held for close to five years.
The reason behind her move is not yet clear but our snoops have since learned that the new management that is making reshuffles and restructuring forced her out.
Nation Media Group a parent holding company for NTV Uganda and Daily Monitor recently disclosed that over 40 of its staff were due to lose their jobs as the company re-organizes post covid-19.
The station had not come out publicly to comment about her resignation by press-time.
Karungi’s next move is still unknown.
