KAMPALA – Sheikh Siliman Kasule Ndirangwa has resigned from his position as the Supreme Mufti of Uganda of the Kibuli based Muslim faction, the Daily Express has learnt.
In a televised address on Thursday evening at Bulange, Sheik Ndirangwa said he he doesn’t want to conflict with the elders in the community. He said he is tired of infighting with his fellow leaders, with whom they were assigned to perform duties.
Sheikh Ndirangwa was appointed the Supreme mufti of the Kibuli based muslim faction on December 16, 2015 replacing the late Sheikh Zubair Kayongo.
He has held the position for six years until his announcement that he is stepping down.
Sheikh Ndirangwa has been very instrumental in the struggles to bring sanity in the Muslim community that has been tainted with management wrangles.
