MBALE: Two family members knocked dead by speeding car

MBALE DISTRICT- Two family members have been knocked dead on spot by a speeding car in Mbale, the DailyExpress has confirmed.

The nasty accident happened at Mushisha village along Mbale Tororo road while the duo was going for an Easter outing.

The deceased have been identified as Erisa Wandwasi, a 27 year Senior Six student of Busiu Secondary School and Ezera Mandali, aged 27 years, a boda boda rider, all residents of Mushisha village, Lwaboba parish of Bunabutye Sub County in Mbale district.

According to Sam Welikhe the eyewitness who saw the incident, a ‘Toyota Wish’ car number UAU 140Q that was heading towards Tororo town from Mbale direction knocked the two family members today at 12.00 noon.

Welikhe says that the duo died on spot after being knocked.

Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region spokesperson has confirmed the accident saying that both bodies are currently at Mbale regional referral hospital for postmortem while the vehicle which killed the two pedestrians is at Mbale central police station.

Police has started the manhunt for the killer driver who flee the scene immediately.
