Premier Recruitment unveils plan to secure over 5000 jobs for Ugandan youths

Premier Recruitment Limited, undoubtedly Uganda’s top labour exporting company has unveiled a mega strategic plan that will see over 5000 youths secure jobs abroad to work in the Middle East countries by the end of 2021.

Premier Recruitment, having already secured more than 2000 jobs to ugandan youths since its establishment in 2019, has now shifted focus to see more Ugandans secure jobs abroad as the country recovers from the adverse effects of Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Kanak Shah, the general manager at Premier Recruitment, all company staff have been trained to be able to deliver a professional recruitment service.

Kanak adds that, “the number could have been if it weren’t for the COVID19 scare that saw global travel halted.”

When contacted for a comment on this development, Rajiv Ruparelia, the managing director of Premier Recruitment Limited, noted that the Uganda labour externalisation industry is a vital source of income for the people involved and the economy.

He called on the government to pass the Externalization of Labour Bill to regulate the export of labour from Uganda and also provide issuance of licensing to recruitment agencies.

“Government needs to put much emphasis on empowering Uganda’s education sector by promoting educational programs that can compete with the rest of the world,” Rajiv added.

He further noted that beyond direct economic gains, labour externalization had other benefits such as skills transfer, mobilization of capital for investment and improving household incomes and standards of living for their dependents back home.

Since its establishment in 2019, Premier recruitment has helped over 2,000 Ugandan youths secure employment in the Arab world, a practical approach which has increasingly addressed the era of youth employment in Uganda.
