Senior Presidential Press Secretary, Mr. Don Wanyama, has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Managing director of Vision Group, the Daily Express has exclusively learnt.
The Chairman of Vision Group, Mr Patrick Ayota, announced the decision of the Board to appoint Mr Don Wanyama as Managing Director/CEO of the Company on Tuesday morning.
He replaces Robert Kabushenga who announced his retirement from the position earlier this year after 15 years at the helm since 2006 when he replaced William Pike.
Wanyama has in the past worked with The New Vision paper as a Senior Sub-Editor and later moved to Daily Monitor where he was a Chief Sub-Editor.
He would later be appointed to Senior Presidential Press Secretary to the president in 2016 after polls replacing motor-mouthed Tamale Mirundi.
His appointment brings in a wealth of experience spanning several years in the newsroom , having served as a Managing Editor for Daily Monitor among other key positions.
