Standup comedian Robert Sunday, known by stage Taata Sam is shocked after learning the passing on of his manager, Fred Kigozi who died on Friday morning.
Kigozi was pronounced dead at Mulago referral hospital where he was rushed after sustaining a leg injury from a Boda-Boda accident that occured on Wednesday April 14 along Masaka road.
A heart-broken Taata Sam explained that the accident happened as the boda-boda man who was riding Kigozi allegedly collided with a truck carrying sand and on trying to save a life, Kigozi’s leg was crushed by the truck.
“On Wednesday 14th April, around 1 pm, Fred was on a boda along Kyengera (Masaka road, Lukadde Road-that Joins Kuttaano, and Masaka Road. They collided with A sand car and in trying to save a life, he fell down and his right leg got smashed and broken down,” he explained.
The soft-spoken comedian referred to his fallen manager as “papa, brother, dear friend” and a real life angel” giving hope, inspiration and look be to millions of people with his amazing work.
Kigozi had worked at various TV stations in management and production including the now defunct Record and KTVs among other stations.
Basing on Taata Sam’s post, Fred has always been a down to earth person who always inspired a lot of people who were close to him. He also uplifted and encouraged those who always felt depressed.
