Singer Azawi Set to Release First Album

Multi-talented singer Azawi, real names Zawedde Priscilla is set to drop the first single off her maiden album, the DailyExpress has learnt.

The ‘Quinamino’ hitmaker, revealed through her social pages that her first single titled “My Year” will be released on May 7, 2021.

Azawi is said to have spent the Easter week in South Africa where the final touches on the album were made.

In company during the South-Africa tour was her boss, Benon Mugumbya of Swangz Avenue where it is rumored that a budget of Shs 200m was set aside to invest in this album with a major focus on a bigger audience in and beyond Uganda.

In preparation for the album, Azawi got a ‘fresh cut’, rebranding from her signature dreadrocks ahead of the album release.

The talented diva is know for the success she enjoyed last year with her hits Quinamino, Repeat it and Lo Fit.

The album title is yet to be released.

Azawi birth name Priscilla Zawedde born in 1996 in Kampala Uganda. She comes from the family of the late Walusimbi Samuel who is the father and Nakamatte Mary who is the mother. She has three siblings but with half-sisters and brothers.
