NSANGI, WAKISO: Fire has on Tuesday morning gutted ‘Grace House’ dormitory, one of the halls of residence at Kings College Budo, in Wakiso District.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire, the fire is believed to have started from one building housing the Senior Three and one dormitories at around 7:00 am” while students were engaged in their morning preparations.
“So far, fire and rescue have managed to contain the fire from spreading any further,” Owoyesigire said on Tuesday morning.
Videos from the scene show huge plumes of smoke billowing into the sky as fire ravages Grace House – a girls’ dormitory.
Fortunately, all students residing are all safe as they were out for breakfast by the time the fire started.
