The Ministry of Trade and Industry has confirmed the death of Hajji Abdul Kasule has died, the Commissioner in charge of the Buy Uganda Build Uganda (BUBU) project.
Kasule succumbed to several injuries after a vehicle he was traveling in got a nasty accident in Kawanda, Bombo road yesterday evening.
He previously served as the Commissioner in charge of Internal Trade in the same Ministry.
Kasule was appointed to the position of commissioner in charge of Buy Uganda Build Uganda after the Head of State, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni introduced a policy encouraging Ugandans to start supporting the local content instead of importing products yet they can be locally made.
He has also been the acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry in the Ministry of Trade.
Prior to joining the Ministry of Trade, Mr. Abdul Kasule served at Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) for over eight years and five years at the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
