KIGALI: Former KCCA FC head coach and tactician Mike Hillary Mutebi has landed a coaching role with Rwandan top-tier side SC Kiyovu.
Mutebi who was sacked by KCCA in March this year is expected to jet out of the country for Amahoro stadium, the home of SC Kiyovu.
Kigali reports tipped this website that the former Uganda Cranes tactician will be allowed to appoint his own backroom staff with whom he will train the team.
Among other duties, Mutebi has been tasked with revamping the academy and making sure players come through straight to the main team.
He joins the team at the back drop of a 2-1 loss to Rutsiro in the Rwanda National Football League Group stages.
Kiyovu Sports has previously won five league titles, three trophies, and one super cup, and was the only Rwandan club to go a whole season unbeaten in 1990.
