SAD NEWS: Makerere finalist perishes in accident two weeks to his graduation

Grief and shock hit the entire students of Makerere University Business School (MUBS) on Monday morning after learning the death of their own student, Mugabi David Pride who perished in an accident that happened on Saturday 1st May 2021.

Mugabi, who had just completed his Bachelor of Leisure and Hospitality Management was set to graduate during Makerere’s 71st graduation ceremony scheduled for this month.

Further reports claimed that the student was riding a bike and and lost control due to a taxi, falling on a sharp object that cut his neck.

Sources from MUBS social platforms confirmed that Mugabi’s burial is set to take place tomorrow on Tuesday, 4th May in Fort Portal.

“Obituary!!! Our student Mugabi David Pride perished in an accident yesterday 1st May 2021. He had completed his BLHM degree and was to graduate at the Makerere University 71st Graduation Ceremony scheduled to take place this month.’ A post on MUBS’s Facebook page reads.

‘The late will be laid to rest in Fort Portal. May his Soul Rest in Eternal Peace,’ added the post.
