The Catholic Church in Kampala Archdiocese has lost yet another priest. Rev Fr Edward Ssekalembe, brother to Fr. Pius Male the Chancellor of Kampala Archdiocese passed on at Lubaga hospital on Wednesday evening, the church announced.
Fr. Ssekalembe, a brother to Fr. Pius Male the Chancellor of Kampala Archidiocese, has been serving as an Assistant Parish Priest of Ggayaaza Parish.
“Dear people of God, With deep sorrow, the Apostolic Administrator of Kampala Archdiocese Bishop Paul Ssemogerere announces the death of Rev. Fr. Edward Ssekalembe” reads part of the message from the Kampala Archdiocese.
His death comes about a month after the death of the Archdiocese of Kampala Archibishop Cyprian Lwanga Kizito who passed on hours to Easter.
