Another Ugandan journalist dies in fatal accident

DECEASED: Journalist Kule Ronald

A drak cloud has yet again hit the media fraternity after another Journalist based in Kasese district passed on a month after he was involved in a fatal road accident.

The deceased has been identified as Kule Ronald a Journalist attached to UBC FM Ngeya in Kasese district.

Last month, five people including three journalists were involved in a road accident in which Dennis Mumbere a journalist attached to Messiah Radio passed on as he was being rushed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for further medication.

The accident happened at Nyamirangara along Kasese-Mbarara Highway at around 4am.

It’s alleged that the team was coming from Lasafari gardens a few meters from Mpondwe-Lhubiriha border in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Town Council as they were heading for a Camp Fire.

Others that sustained injuries include a local artiste Meruzi and Kabaka Deo of Deo technologies who was the driver. Muzz Joe, Bob and Kim managed to survive the accident unhurt.

His death comes at a time when the Region’s media fraternity is losing members the previous ones being Enid Basiime a former employee of Mbarara based Radio station Revival FM and Sheila Nakabuye.
