KIU student wins Shs7.5m in UBL’s Kyusa Levo promotion

Kiiza Ronnet, a second year student at Kampala International University has won Shs 7.5 million under Uganda Breweries Limited’s (UBL) ‘Kyusa Levo’ promotion.

The promotion, which is part of UBL’s 75th-anniversary celebrations, commenced on March 9, 2021, and gives consumers of Uganda Waragi, Bond 7 and V&A from all over Uganda a chance to win cash prizes worth Shs 2.1 billion.

Speaking at a ceremony held to congratulate some of the winners, Kiiza said, “I am so excited. I honestly did not expect to win but just tried my luck and then received a message saying that I had won 7.5 million and would receive the cash on my mobile money account. I want to thank UBL for allowing us to celebrate their 75th birthday with them.”

“I want to use this money to pay for the completion of my degree and also start a project on the side,” she added.

To participate, customers who purchase a 200ml bottle of Uganda Waragi, Bond 7 and V&A will check under the closure for a code. Consumers then dial 25523# and follow prompts to stand a chance to win.

The prizes under the promotion are instantly redeemable cash via mobile money categorized as follows: Shs 5,000, U Shs 7,500, Shs 75,000, Shs 750,000, Shs 7.5 million, leading up to the ultimate grand prize of Shs 75 million.

40,000 winners have so far won cash prizes under the promotion, which goes on until June 30.

Hilary Baguma, the UBL Brand Manager Mainstream Spirits said, “We are very glad to have received our first winner of Shs 7.5 million and congratulate her as well as all the other winners. Making 75 years of existence in Uganda is a moment that fills us with immeasurable pride for having brought our consumers 75 years of good times.”

He added that UBL is taking this opportunity to do even more for their customers by putting some money in their pockets through the ‘Kyusa Levo’ promotion and to appreciate them for continuing to support the UBL journey.
