CONFIRMED: Pastor Tom Kula died of Covid

Pastor Thomas Kula died Thursday at 2pm, according to a statement from the church

UPDATE: Pastor Thomas Kula, the husband to Pastor Imelda Namutebi of Liberty Worship Centre International Lugala is dead.

According to Medical reports, it has been confirmed that Pastor Kula succumbed to the deadly Covid-19 after battling the virus for a few days.

He died at 2 pm Thursday, according to a statement issued by the church.

“Liberty family with great sorrow announces the passing on of our dear father and loving kind pastor Dr Thomas Kula today at 2 pm. We shall give you more details on this platform.” a statement released on their Facebook page read.

Moments later, Ms. Namutebi also announced her husband’s death on her social media platforms.
“Dear liberty family and friends with great sorrow I announce the death of my loving husband Dr Thomas Kula today at 2 pm,” she said.

Liberty Worship Center, which was launched in 2014 by President Yoweri Museveni is said to be the biggest Pentecostal Church in East Africa with a sitting capacity of up to 15000.
