FACT CHECK: The National Unity Platform (NUP) party has dismissed reports making rounds suggesting that the party founder, Mr Moses Nkonge Kibalama is dead.
The reports which were described as ‘fake’ news claimed that Kibalama, who relinquished his party to Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, had breathed his last at the Bombo Military Barracks hospital on Thursday afternoon.
Party Spokesman and Nakawa West MP Hon. Joel Senyonyi dismissed the reports and affirmed that Mr Kibalama was still admitted, though in critical condition but still alive.
“Please disregard the rumors circulating that Mzee Moses Nkonge Kibalama is dead. He’s in critical condition, but he’s alive. Let’s keep him in prayer.” he said.
Mr. Senyonyi together with NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi recently visited Kibalama at the military Hospital and were allowed to see him.
