Social media was left in shock on Thursday evening after photos of former Lands Minister Aidah Nantaba kneeling down before The National Unity Platform Vice President and Leader of Opposition Hon. Mathias Mpuuga rocked the internet world.
The photos which were taken at the burial ceremony of the late Kayunga district LC5 Chairman showed Nantaba who is also the woman MP for Kayunga interacting with the newly appointed Leader of Opposition in Parliament Hon. Mathias Mpuuga and Busiro East’s Medard Ssegona while on her knees.
Though this is a fine act in Buganda as it shows respect and cultural norms being upheld, the incident has caused mixed reactions and left hundreds washed with countless allegations regarding the rare scene.
The late Ffeffekka was later laid to rest on Thursday evening.
