KAYUNGA DISTRICT: Veteran Radio Personality and Presenter Katongole Dennis popularly known as Katongole ‘Omutongole’, has set his eyes high on becoming the next LC5 chairman of Kayunga District as the EC seeks to hold fresh elections in the district.

Katongole is seeking to replace the late Ffeffeka Sserubogo Muhammad who according to a Police report committed suicide last week on Tuesday, June 15, and was buried on Thursday the same week.

Katongole who has worked with a number of media houses in Uganda including Radio Simba, Beat FM, NBS TV, Bukedde FM, Delta TV, and Capital FM, was defeated by the National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate, Charles Tebandeke in the 2021 general elections to represent Bbaale Constituency in the 11th parliament. He had sought to run as independent after being dropped for Tebandeke for the party flagship.

The Veteran radio presenter revealed to this website on Wednesday that he is currently concentrating on getting the party (NUP) flag first, on which he will contest for the position in the LC5 district by-election.
