Minister Aceng to address Ugandans on COVID-19 situation today

The Health Minister, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng is set to address Ugandans today (Friday) to give an update on the Covid-19 situation the country as lockdown enters day 14 of the 42 days.

Mr. Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the Health Ministry’s spokesperson revealed this on Friday morning saying Dr. Ruth Aceng is expected to address the nation on how the government is responding to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The address is expected to be broadcast live on local electronic media channels starting at 11:00 am on Friday.

As of Thursday, the number of people who had recovered stood at 53,551 people since March last year when the first cases were recorded in Uganda.

However, hospital admissions have remained high and stood at 1,081 as of Thursday updates.
