Former Mbabazi Security Head, Christopher Aine named Mbarara Deputy RDC

The former head of security for ex-premier Amama Mbabazi, Mr. Christopher Aine, has been appointed as Deputy Resident Commissioner for Mbarara District.

Mr. Aine will be deputizing, the current RDC for Mbarara, Lt Col James Mwesigye.

RDC Mwesigye confirmed the appointment of Mr. Aine in a telephone interview with this website.

The Deputy RDC position in the district ran vacant early this year after Emmy Kateera was transferred to the nearby Rwampara district where he is currently serving as the Acting RDC.

His appointment as Deputy DRC follows an apparent truce between his former boss Mbabazi and President Yoweri Museveni, who after the 2016 election decided to bury the hatchet and work together.

Early this year, Mbabazi revealed that he had rejoined President Museveni and decided to return to the National Resistance Movement (NRM) where he previously served as Secretary-General.

He was later reported dead and pictures of his purported body started circulating on the internet.
