The Kyambogo University is mourning the death of finalist student, Provia Abenaitwe, 27, who was among the graduands waiting for convocation at the University’s forthcoming graduation.
Abenaitwe breathed her last on Sunday, July 18, 2021, with reports suggesting that she succumbed to a chronic illness.
Colleagues and coursemates told this website that the deceased had fully completed her studies and only waiting to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies (BDS) at the University’s forthcoming graduation (whose date has not been set yet).
“To the Kyambogo University fraternity, lecturers, and students year 2017 to 2020; We are saddened by the death of our coursemate Provia Abenaitwe (finalist). May God grant her life eternity and forgive her life mishandlings” Sharon Tashus, one of the friends with the deceased posted on Facebook.
With disbelief, Provia’s friends couldn’t take in the unfortunate news of Provia’s untimely passing until the information was officially communicated.
By press time, the University was yet to issue a communique about the death of the student.
May the soul of the deceased Rest in eternal Peace.
