MPIGI DISTRICT: A 19-year-old S.3 student of Lumusa High School Katende in Mpigi committed suicide by drinking poison after her father found her with a new smartphone.
The deceased identified as Shamusa Nalwadda is a daughter to Kimbugwe Musede, the Chairperson LC II Kayabwe town council, in Mpigi district.
It’s alleged that Nalwadda’s Father Kimbugwe found her with a new smart believed to have been given to her by a boyfriend which annoyed the old man.
According to Lydia Tumushabe the Katonga region police Spokesperson, Shamusa drunk Furadani poison used for killing vermins immediately after her father and mother visited a neighbor.
By the time, they come back, they found her in critical condition.
Tumushabe adds that they tried to rush her to a nearby clinic but passed on outside the clinic.
