Butambula County Member of Parliament Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi who also doubles as the Buganda Caucus Chairperson has not been involved in an accident as reported by some sections of the media.
Responding to social media reports that he was involved in a motor accident at Kamengo on Kampala- Masaka Highway, Muwanga noted, “it is a total lie. I have not been on that road they are talking about in a long time. I am still slaughtering goats for Idd in Buwate in Kiira Municipality.”
The National Unity Platform – NUP Secretary-General David Lewis Rubongoya took to his social media to make clarifications that their MP has not been involved in an accident as per the earlier social media reports.
“Just spoken with Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi. He is well. Ignore the false news claiming he’s been involved in an accident. It’s not true,” Rubongoya tweeted to dispel the fake reports.

The NUP legislator is one of the vocal opposition MPs in Parliament and was recently voted as Chairperson of the Buganda Caucus.
